<p class="poetry">&#8220;These people have denied what the <sc>Lordsc> says.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">They have said, &#8216;That is not so!<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">No harm will come to us.p> <p class="poetry">We will not experience war and famine.<n id="3" />p>

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;Therefore, on that day each prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies and will no longer wear the hairy garment<n id="1" /> of a prophet to deceive the people.<n id="2" />

&#8220;When a person sins and commits a trespass<n id="1" /> against the <sc>Lordsc> by deceiving his fellow citizen<n id="2" /> in regard to something held in trust, or a pledge, or something stolen, or by extorting something from his fellow citizen,<n id="3" />

Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenantal commandment!<n id="1" /> They have taken some of the riches;<n id="2" /> they have stolen them and deceitfully put them among their own possessions.<n id="3" />
