One who beats an animal to death ¹  must make restitution for it, life for life. ² 

for the life of every living thing ¹  is in the blood. ²  So I myself have assigned it to you ³  on the altar to make atonement for your lives, for the blood makes atonement by means of the life. ⁴ 

Any person who eats any blood – that person will be cut off from his people.’” ¹ 

The person who eats meat from the peace offering sacrifice which belongs to the Lord while his uncleanness persists ¹  will be cut off from his people. ² 

This is the law ¹  of the land animals, the birds, all the living creatures that move in the water, and all the creatures ²  that swarm on the land,

“‘The person who turns to the spirits of the dead and familiar spirits ²  to commit prostitution by going after them, I will set my face ³  against that person and cut him off from the midst of his people.

As for any person ¹  who does any work on this particular day, I will exterminate ²  that person from the midst of his people! ³ 

“‘If a man beats any person to death, ¹  he must be put to death.

“‘I will put my tabernacle ¹  in your midst and I will not abhor you. ² 

for the life of all flesh is its blood. ¹  So I have said to the Israelites: You must not eat the blood of any living thing ²  because the life of every living thing is its blood – all who eat it will be cut off. ³ 

Do not make yourselves detestable by any of the swarming things. ¹  You must not defile yourselves by them and become unclean by them,

It is to be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you must humble yourselves. ¹  It is a perpetual statute. ² 

For if anyone does any of these abominations, the persons who do them will be cut off from the midst of their people. ¹ 

and the one who eats it will bear his punishment for iniquity ¹  because he has profaned ²  what is holy to the Lord. ³  That person will be cut off from his people. ⁴ 

You must not slash your body for a dead person ¹  or incise a tattoo on yourself. ²  I am the Lord.

He must not go where there is any dead person; ¹  he must not defile himself even for his father and his mother.

Indeed, ¹  any person who does not behave with humility on this particular day will be cut off from his people. ² 

When a person touches anything unclean (whether human uncleanness, or an unclean animal, or an unclean detestable creature) ¹  and eats some of the meat of the peace offering sacrifice which belongs to the Lord, that person will be cut off from his people.’” ² 

“‘When a person presents a grain offering ¹  to the Lord, his offering must consist of choice wheat flour, ²  and he must pour olive oil on it and put frankincense ³  on it.

“Tell the Israelites, ‘When a person sins by straying unintentionally ¹  from any of the Lord’s commandments which must not be violated, and violates any ²  one of them ³  –
