So he set it before them; they ate and had some left over, just as the Lord predicted. ¹ 

But his attendant said, “How can I feed a hundred men with this?” ¹  He replied, “Set it before the people so they may eat, for this is what the Lord says, ‘They will eat and have some left over.’” ² 

They did not audit the treasurers who disbursed ¹  the funds to the foremen, for they were honest. ² 

Now make a deal ¹  with my master the king of Assyria, and I will give you two thousand horses, provided you can find enough riders for them.

I will make Ahab’s dynasty ¹  like those of Jeroboam son of Nebat and Baasha son of Ahijah.

It was handed over ¹  to the foremen who used it to repair the Lord’s temple.

Hezekiah gave him all the silver in ¹  the Lord’s temple and in the treasuries of the royal palace.

He spoke kindly to him and gave him a more prestigious position than ¹  the other kings who were with him in Babylon.

Jehoiada the priest took a chest and drilled a hole in its lid. He placed it on the right side of the altar near the entrance of ¹  the Lord’s temple. The priests who guarded the entrance would put into it all the silver brought to the Lord’s temple.

Have them hand it over to the construction foremen ¹  assigned to the Lord’s temple. They in turn should pay the temple workers to repair it, ² 

The king of Israel said, “Oh no! ¹  Certainly the Lord has summoned these three kings so that he can hand them over to the king of Moab!”

Now a man from Baal Shalisha brought some food for the prophet ¹  – twenty loaves of bread made from the firstfruits of the barley harvest, as well as fresh ears of grain. ²  Elisha ³  said, “Set it before the people so they may eat.”

So we boiled my son and ate him. Then I said to her the next day, ‘Hand over your son and we’ll eat him.’ But she hid her son!”

But the Lord was unwilling to destroy Judah. He preserved Judah for the sake of ¹  his servant David to whom he had promised a perpetual dynasty. ² 

The priest gave to the officers of the units of hundreds King David’s spears and the shields that were kept in the Lord’s temple.
