If you make a sale ¹  to your fellow citizen ²  or buy ³  from your fellow citizen, no one is to wrong his brother. ⁴ 

“‘You must not steal, you must not tell lies, and you must not deal falsely with your fellow citizen. ¹ 

You must not have sexual intercourse ¹  with the wife of your fellow citizen to become unclean with her.

If a man inflicts an injury on ¹  his fellow citizen, ²  just as he has done it must be done to him –

You may buy it from your fellow citizen according to the number of years since ¹  the last jubilee; he may sell it to you according to the years of produce that are left. ² 

No one is to oppress his fellow citizen, ¹  but you must fear your God, because I am the Lord your God.

“When a person sins and commits a trespass ¹  against the Lord by deceiving his fellow citizen ²  in regard to something held in trust, or a pledge, or something stolen, or by extorting something from his fellow citizen, ³ 

“‘You ¹  must not deal unjustly in judgment: ²  you must neither show partiality to the poor nor honor the rich. ³  You must judge your fellow citizen fairly. ⁴ 

You must not hate your brother in your heart. You must surely reprove your fellow citizen so that you do not incur sin on account of him. ¹ 

“Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate,” says the Lord who rules over all. Strike the shepherd that the flock may be scattered; ¹  I will turn my hand against the insignificant ones.
