<p class="poetry">Do you make it leap<n id="1" /> like a locust?p> <p class="poetry">Its proud neighing<n id="2" /> is terrifying!p>

<p class="poetry">He gave their crops to the grasshopper,p> <p class="poetry">the fruit of their labor to the locust.p>

<p class="poetry">He ordered locusts to come,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">innumerable grasshoppers.p>

<p class="poetry">I am fading away like a shadow at the end of the day;<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">I am shaken off like a locust.p>

<p class="poetry">locusts have no king,p> <p class="poetry">but they all go forward by ranks;<n id="1" />p>

But if you refuse to release my people, I am going to bring<n id="1" /> locusts<n id="2" /> into your territory<n id="3" /> tomorrow.

<t /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;You will take much seed to the field but gather little harvest, because locusts will consume it.

<p class="poetry">There the fire will consume<n id="1" /> you;p> <p class="poetry">the sword will cut you down;p> <p class="poetry">it will devour<n id="2" /> you like the young locust would.p><t /><p class="poetry">Multiply yourself<n id="3" /> like the young locust;p> <p class="poetry">multiply yourself like the flying locust!p>

The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt and settled down in all the territory<n id="1" /> of Egypt. It was very severe;<n id="2" /> there had been no locusts like them before, nor will there be such ever again.<n id="3" />

and the <sc>Lordsc> turned a very strong west wind,<n id="1" /> and it picked up the locusts and blew them into the Red Sea.<n id="2" /> Not one locust remained in all the territory of Egypt.

These you may eat from them:<n id="1" /> the locust of any kind, the bald locust of any kind, the cricket of any kind, the grasshopper of any kind.

When they invaded<n id="1" /> with their cattle and tents, they were as thick<n id="2" /> as locusts. Neither they nor their camels could be counted.<n id="3" /> They came to devour<n id="4" /> the land.

Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and the people from the east covered the valley like a swarm of locusts.<n id="1" /> Their camels could not be counted; they were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore.

<p class="poetry">The population of Egypt is like a vast, impenetrable forest.p> <p class="poetry">But I, the <sc>Lordsc>, affirm<n id="1" /> that the enemy will cut them down.p> <p class="poetry">For those who chop them down will be more numerous than locusts.p> <p class="poetry">They will be too numerous to count.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">I will make up for the years<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">that the <i>&#8216;arbehi>-locust<n id="2" /> consumed your crops<n id="3" /> &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">the <i>yeleqi>-locust, the <i>hasili>-locust, and the <i>gazami>-locust &#8211;p> <p class="poetry">my great army<n id="4" /> that I sent against you.p>

<p class="poetry">Your courtiers<n id="1" /> are like locusts,p> <p class="poetry">your officials<n id="2" /> are like a swarm of locusts!p> <p class="poetry">They encamp in the walls on a cold day,p> <p class="poetry">yet when the sun rises, they<n id="3" /> fly away;<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">and no one knows where they<n id="5" /> are.<n id="6" />p>

<p class="bodytext">The <sc>Lordsc> said to Moses, &#8220;Extend your hand over the land of Egypt for<n id="1" /> the locusts, that they may come up over the land of Egypt and eat everything that grows<n id="2" /> in the ground, everything that the hail has left.&#8221;

So Moses extended his staff over the land of Egypt, and then the <sc>Lordsc><n id="1" /> brought<n id="2" /> an east wind on the land all that day and all night.<n id="3" /> The morning came,<n id="4" /> and the east wind had brought up<n id="5" /> the locusts!

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;The time will come when the land suffers from a famine, a plague, blight and disease, or a locust<n id="1" /> invasion, or when their enemy lays siege to the cities of the land,<n id="2" /> or when some other type of plague or epidemic occurs.
