So Isaac ¹  held a feast for them and they celebrated. ² 

She quickly lowered her jug from her shoulder and said, ‘Drink, and I’ll give your camels water too.’ So I drank, and she also gave the camels water.

Then he set up the peeled branches in all the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink. He set up the branches in front of the flocks when they were in heat and came to drink. ¹ 

When he drank some of the wine, he got drunk and uncovered himself ¹  inside his tent.

“Drink, my lord,” she replied, and quickly lowering ¹  her jug to her hands, she gave him a drink.

When she had done so, ¹  she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have drunk as much as they want.”

After this, he and the men who were with him ate a meal and stayed there overnight. ¹  When they got up in the morning, he said, “Let me leave now so I can return to my master.” ² 

I will say to a young woman, ‘Please lower your jar so I may drink.’ May the one you have chosen for your servant Isaac reply, ‘Drink, and I’ll give your camels water too.’ ¹  In this way I will know that you have been faithful to my master.” ² 

After the camels had finished drinking, the man took out a gold nose ring weighing a beka ¹  and two gold bracelets weighing ten shekels ²  and gave them to her. ³ 

Then she will reply to me, “Drink, and I’ll draw water for your camels too.” May that woman be the one whom the Lord has chosen for my master’s son.’

Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and lentil stew; Esau ate and drank, then got up and went out. ¹  So Esau despised his birthright. ² 

Isaac ¹  said, “Bring some of the wild game for me to eat, my son. ²  Then I will bless you.” ³  So Jacob ⁴  brought it to him, and he ate it. He also brought him wine, and Isaac ⁵  drank.

He gave them portions of the food set before him, ¹  but the portion for Benjamin was five times greater than the portions for any of the others. They drank with Joseph until they all became drunk. ² 

Doesn’t my master drink from this cup ¹  and use it for divination? ²  You have done wrong!’” ³
