“‘I will put my tabernacle ¹  in your midst and I will not abhor you. ² 

I will walk among you, and I will be your God and you will be my people.

Therefore, I have said to the Israelites: No person among you is to eat blood, ¹  and no resident foreigner who lives among you is to eat blood. ² 

You yourselves must obey ¹  my statutes and my regulations and must not do any of these abominations, both the native citizen and the resident foreigner in your midst, ² 

If a man has sexual intercourse with both a woman and her mother, ¹  it is lewdness. ²  Both he and they must be burned to death, ³  so there is no lewdness in your midst.

I will bring on you an avenging sword, a covenant vengeance. ¹  Although ²  you will gather together into your cities, I will send pestilence among you and you will be given into enemy hands. ³ 

“This is to be a perpetual statute for you. ¹  In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you must humble yourselves ²  and do no work of any kind, ³  both the native citizen and the foreigner who resides ⁴  in your midst,
