I will turn to you, make you fruitful, multiply you, and maintain ¹  my covenant with you.

You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will consume you.

I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, from being their slaves, ¹  and I broke the bars of your yoke and caused you to walk upright. ² 

I will send the wild animals ¹  against you and they will bereave you of your children, ²  annihilate your cattle, and diminish your population ³  so that your roads will become deserted.

“‘I will put my tabernacle ¹  in your midst and I will not abhor you. ² 

for on this day atonement is to be made for you to cleanse you from all your sins; you must be clean before the Lord. ¹ 

So do not make the land vomit you out because you defile it ¹  just as it has vomited out the nations ²  that were before you.

the one who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God. ¹  I am the Lord.”

“‘If, in spite of all these things, ¹  you do not obey me, I will discipline you seven times more on account of your sins. ² 

I myself will also walk in hostility against you and strike you ¹  seven times on account of your sins.

I will walk in hostile rage against you ¹  and I myself will also discipline you seven times on account of your sins.

“‘You must be sure to obey all my statutes and regulations, ¹  so that ²  the land to which I am about to bring you to take up residence there does not vomit you out.

for I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, ¹  and you are to be holy because I am holy.

The foreigner who resides with you must be to you like a native citizen among you; so ¹  you must love him as yourself, because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

You must have honest balances, ¹  honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin. ²  I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt.

You must be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the other peoples to be mine.

I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan – to be your God. ¹ 

I will set my face against you. You will be struck down before your enemies, those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when there is no one pursuing you.

I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars, ¹  and I will stack your dead bodies on top of the lifeless bodies of your idols. ²  I will abhor you. ³ 

You must not do as they do in the land of Egypt where you have been living, ¹  and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan into which I am about to bring you; ²  you must not ³  walk in their statutes.
