<p class="bodytext">So the <sc>Lordsc> said, &#8220;The outcry against<n id="1" /> Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so blatant<n id="2" />

so that they cannot teach you all the abhorrent ways they worship<n id="1" /> their gods, causing you to sin against the <sc>Lordsc> your God.

Do not cover their iniquity, and do not wipe out their sin from before them. For they have bitterly offended<n id="1" /> the builders!<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">The look on their faces<n id="1" /> testifies to their guilt;<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">like the people of Sodom they openly boast of their sin.<n id="3" />p> <p class="poetry">Too bad for them!<n id="4" />p> <p class="poetry">For they bring disaster on themselves.p>

Before I restore them<n id="1" /> I will punish them in full<n id="2" /> for their sins and the wrongs they have done. For they have polluted my land with the lifeless statues of their disgusting idols. They have filled the land I have claimed as my own<n id="3" /> with their detestable idols.&#8221;<n id="4" />p>

&#8216;Tell Joseph this: Please forgive the sin of your brothers and the wrong they did when they treated you so badly.&#8217; Now please forgive the sin of the servants of the God of your father.&#8221; When this message was reported to him, Joseph wept.<n id="1" />

And the priest is to make atonement<n id="1" /> for the whole community of the Israelites, and they will be forgiven,<n id="2" /> because it was unintentional and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to the <sc>Lordsc>, and their purification offering before the <sc>Lordsc>, for their unintentional offense.

<p class="poetry">But you, <sc>Lordsc>, knowp> <p class="poetry">all their plots to kill me.p> <p class="poetry">Do not pardon their crimes!p> <p class="poetry">Do not ignore their sins as though you had erased them!<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">Let them be brought down in defeat before you!p> <p class="poetry">Deal with them while you are still angry!<n id="2" />p>
