These are the stipulations, statutes, and ordinances that Moses spoke to the Israelites after he had brought them out of Egypt,

<t /><p class="bodytext">These are the statutes, regulations, and instructions which the <sc>Lordsc> established<n id="1" /> between himself and the Israelites at Mount Sinai through<n id="2" /> Moses.p>

<p class="bodytext">These are the commandments and the decisions that the <sc>Lordsc> commanded the Israelites through the authority<n id="1" /> of Moses, on the plains of Moab by the Jordan River<n id="2" /> opposite Jericho.<n id="3" />p>

<t /><p class="bodytext">Now these are the commandments,<n id="1" /> statutes, and ordinances that the <sc>Lordsc> your God instructed me to teach you so that you may carry them out in the land where you are headed<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">When your children<n id="1" /> ask you later on, &#8220;What are the stipulations, statutes, and ordinances that the <sc>Lordsc> our God commanded you?&#8221;

But as for you, remain here with me so I can declare to you all the commandments,<n id="1" /> statutes, and ordinances that you are to teach them, so that they can carry them out in the land I am about to give them.&#8221;<n id="2" />

<t /><p class="bodytext">These are the statutes and ordinances you must be careful to obey as long as you live in the land the <sc>Lordsc>, the God of your ancestors,<n id="1" /> has given you to possess.<n id="2" />

I will not make Israel again leave the land I gave to their ancestors,<n id="1" /> provided that they carefully obey all I commanded them, the whole law, the rules and regulations given to Moses.&#8221;
