He ruled all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River ¹  to the land of the Philistines as far as the border of Egypt.

The events of Asa’s reign, from start to finish, are recorded in the Scroll of the Kings of Judah and Israel. ¹ 

He was buried in the City of David ¹  with the kings, because he had accomplished good in Israel and for God and his temple.

Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. No one regretted his death; ¹  he was buried in the City of David, ²  but not in the royal tombs.

The list of Joash’s ¹  sons, the many prophetic oracles pertaining to him, and the account of his building project on God’s temple are included in the record of the Scroll of the Kings. ²  His son Amaziah replaced him as king.

When they withdrew, they left Joash ¹  badly wounded. His servants plotted against him because of what he had done to ²  the son ³  of Jehoiada the priest. They murdered him on his bed. Thus ⁴  he died and was buried in the City of David, ⁵  but not in the tombs of the kings.
