<p class="poetry">For the sovereign <sc>Lordsc><n id="1" /> is awe-inspiring;<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">he is the great king who rules the whole earth!<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">Say to God:p> <p class="poetry">&#8220;How awesome are your deeds!p> <p class="poetry">Because of your great power your enemies cower in fear<n id="1" /> before you.p>

<p class="poetry">Come and witness<n id="1" /> God&#8217;s exploits!<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">His acts on behalf of people are awesome!<n id="3" />p>

<p class="poetry">You are awesome! Yes, you!p> <p class="poetry">Who can withstand your intense anger?<n id="1" />p>

<p class="poetry">For the <sc>Lordsc> is great and certainly worthy of praise;p> <p class="poetry">he is more awesome than all gods.<n id="1" />p>

Whoever does not bow down and pay homage will immediately<n id="1" /> be thrown into the midst of a furnace of blazing fire!&#8221;

Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire. He called out,<n id="1" /> &#8220;Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most high God, come out! Come here!&#8221;p> <p class="bodytext">Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego emerged from the fire.<n id="2" />

He was afraid and said, &#8220;What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!&#8221;p>

If<n id="1" /> our God whom we are serving exists,<n id="2" /> he is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and he will rescue us, O king, from your power as well.

He ordered strong<n id="1" /> soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and to throw them into the furnace of blazing fire.

So those men were tied up while still wearing their cloaks, trousers, turbans, and other clothes,<n id="1" /> and were thrown into the furnace<n id="2" /> of blazing fire.

But those three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell into the furnace<n id="1" /> of blazing fire while still securely bound.<n id="2" />p>

<p class="poetry">The <sc>Lordsc> will terrify them,<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">for<n id="2" /> he will weaken<n id="3" /> all the gods of the earth.p> <p class="poetry">All the distant nations will worship the <sc>Lordsc> in their own lands.<n id="4" />p>

<p class="bodytext">The woman went and said to her husband, &#8220;A man sent from God<n id="1" /> came to me! He looked like God&#8217;s angelic messenger &#8211; he was very awesome.<n id="2" /> I did not ask him where he came from, and he did not tell me his name.
