He remembered his covenant with them, and relented ¹  because of his great loyal love.

Praise him for his mighty acts! Praise him for his surpassing greatness!

Though he causes us ¹  grief, he then has compassion on us ²  according to the abundance of his loyal kindness. ³ 

Answer me, O Lord, for your loyal love is good! ¹  Because of your great compassion, turn toward me!

Israel was a fertile vine that yielded fruit. As his fruit multiplied, he multiplied altars to Baal. ¹  As his land prospered, they adorned the fertility pillars.

Then I directed the Levites to purify themselves and come and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. For this please remember me, O my God, and have pity on me in keeping with your great love.
