<t /><p class="bodytext">You must not plant your vineyard with two kinds of seed; otherwise the entire yield, both of the seed you plant and the produce of the vineyard, will be defiled.<n id="1" />

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">&#8220;For six years<n id="2" /> you are to sow your land and gather in its produce.

Six years you may sow your field, and six years you may prune your vineyard and gather the produce,<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">&#8220;You are also to observe<n id="1" /> the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your labors that you have sown in the field, and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year<n id="2" /> when you have gathered in<n id="3" /> your harvest<n id="4" /> out of the field.

You must keep my statutes. You must not allow two different kinds of your animals to breed,<n id="1" /> you must not sow your field with two different kinds of seed, and you must not wear<n id="2" /> a garment made of two different kinds of fabric.<n id="3" />p>

but in the seventh year the land must have a Sabbath of complete rest<n id="1" /> &#8211; a Sabbath to the <sc>Lordsc>. You must not sow your field or<n id="2" /> prune your vineyard.

<p class="poetry">You will plant crops, but will not harvest them;p> <p class="poetry">you will squeeze oil from the olives,<n id="1" /> but you will have no oil to rub on your bodies;<n id="2" />p> <p class="poetry">you will squeeze juice from the grapes, but you will have no wine to drink.<n id="3" />p>

For the land where you are headed<n id="1" /> is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, a land where you planted seed and which you irrigated by hand<n id="2" /> like a vegetable garden.

The whole land will be covered with brimstone, salt, and burning debris; it will not be planted nor will it sprout or produce grass. It will resemble the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the <sc>Lordsc> destroyed in his intense anger.<n id="1" />

<p class="poetry">He will water the seed you plant in the ground,p> <p class="poetry">and the ground will produce crops in abundance.<n id="1" />p> <p class="poetry">At that time<n id="2" /> your cattle will graze in wide pastures.p>
