The descendants of Moses the man of God were considered Levites.<n id="1" />p>

Now Moses was eighty years old and Aaron was eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.p>

The people kept<n id="1" /> their distance, but Moses drew near the thick darkness<n id="2" /> where God was.<n id="3" />p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">Now these are the records<n id="2" /> of Aaron and Moses when<n id="3" /> the <sc>Lordsc> spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.

Moses was 120 years old when he died, but his eye was not dull<n id="1" /> nor had his vitality<n id="2" /> departed.

<p class="bodytext">It was the same Aaron and Moses to whom the <sc>Lordsc> said, &#8220;Bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their regiments.&#8221;<n id="1" />

<p class="bodytext">So Joshua fought against Amalek just as Moses had instructed him;<n id="1" />and Moses and Aaron and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

<p class="bodytext">Moses<n id="1" /> went up to God, and the <sc>Lordsc> called to him from the mountain, &#8220;Thus you will tell the house of Jacob, and declare to the people<n id="2" /> of Israel:

<p class="bodytext">But they dared<n id="1" /> to go up to the crest of the hill, although<n id="2" /> neither the ark of the covenant of the <sc>Lordsc> nor Moses departed from the camp.

So everyone took his censer, put fire in it, and set incense on it, and stood at the entrance of the tent of meeting, with Moses and Aaron.

<p class="bodytext">The children of Amram:p> <p class="bodytext">Aaron, Moses, and Miriam.p> <p class="bodytext">The sons of Aaron:p> <p class="bodytext">Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.p>

<p class="bodytext">Now Moses<n id="1" /> was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert<n id="2" /> and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.<n id="3" />

<p class="bodytext">So Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, but the <sc>Lordsc> hardened Pharaoh&#8217;s heart, and he did not release the Israelites from his land.p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">Moses took<n id="2" /> the tent<n id="3" /> and pitched it outside the camp, at a good distance<n id="4" /> from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. Anyone<n id="5" /> seeking<n id="6" /> the <sc>Lordsc> would go out to the tent of meeting that was outside the camp.p>

<t /><n id="1" /><p class="bodytext">Now when Moses came down<n id="2" /> from Mount Sinai with<n id="3" /> the two tablets of the testimony in his hand<n id="4" /> &#8211; when he came down<n id="5" /> from the mountain, Moses<n id="6" /> did not know that the skin of his face shone<n id="7" /> while he talked with him.

<p class="bodytext">The sons of Amram:p> <p class="bodytext">Aaron and Moses.p> <p class="bodytext">Aaron and his descendants were chosen on a permanent basis to consecrate the most holy items, to offer sacrifices before the <sc>Lordsc>, to serve him, and to praise his name.<n id="1" />
