He judges the world fairly; he makes just legal decisions for the nations. ¹ 

He will defend ¹  the oppressed among the people; he will deliver ²  the children ³  of the poor and crush the oppressor.

May the Lord judge between the two of us, and may the Lord vindicate me over you, but my hand will not be against you.

A psalm of Asaph. God stands in ²  the assembly of El; ³  in the midst of the gods ⁴  he renders judgment. ⁵ 

before the Lord! For he comes to judge the earth! He judges the world fairly, ¹  and the nations in a just manner.

He also made a throne room, called “The Hall of Judgment,” where he made judicial decisions. ¹  It was paneled with cedar from the floor to the rafters. ² 

Now give me wisdom and discernment so ¹  I can effectively lead this nation. ²  Otherwise ³  no one is able ⁴  to make judicial decisions for ⁵  this great nation of yours.” ⁶ 

before the Lord, for he comes! For he comes to judge the earth! He judges the world fairly, ¹  and the nations in accordance with his justice. ² 

I thought to myself, “God will judge both the righteous and the wicked; for there is an appropriate time for every activity, and there is a time of judgment ¹  for every deed.

Then Sarai said to Abram, “You have brought this wrong on me! ¹  I allowed my servant to have sexual relations with you, ²  but when she realized ³  that she was pregnant, she despised me. ⁴  May the Lord judge between you and me!” ⁵ 

I have not done you wrong, ¹  but you are doing wrong ²  by attacking me. May the Lord, the Judge, judge this day between the Israelites and the Ammonites!’”
