When Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about the heaps,

The Lord stirred up against Jehoram the Philistines ¹  and the Arabs who lived beside the Cushites.

Preparations were made, ¹  and the priests stood at their posts and the Levites in their divisions as prescribed by the king.

Jeremiah composed laments for Josiah which all the male and female singers use to mourn Josiah to this very day. It has become customary in Israel to sing these; they are recorded in the Book of Laments.

The porch in front of the main hall was 30 feet long, corresponding to the width of the temple, ¹  and its height was 30 feet. ²  He plated the inside with pure gold.

The cherubs’ wings extended over the place where the ark sat; the cherubs overshadowed the ark and its poles. ¹ 

My father imposed heavy demands on you; I will make them even heavier. ¹  My father punished you with ordinary whips; I will punish you with whips that really sting your flesh.’” ² 

Micaiah ¹  said, “That being the case, hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, with all the heavenly assembly standing on his right and on his left.

He appointed military officers over the army ¹  and assembled them in the square at the city gate. He encouraged them, ²  saying,

They called out loudly in the Judahite dialect to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, trying to scare and terrify them so they could seize the city.

the ten ¹  movable stands with their ten ²  basins,

Solomon ruled over all Israel from Jerusalem ¹  for forty years.

His son Jehoshaphat replaced him as king and solidified his rule over Israel. ¹ 

He appointed the priests to fulfill their duties and encouraged them to carry out their service in the Lord’s temple.

At that time Hanani the prophet ¹  visited King Asa of Judah and said to him: “Because you relied on the king of Syria and did not rely on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped from your hand.

“Go, seek an oracle from ¹  the Lord for me and those who remain in Israel and Judah. Find out about ²  the words of this scroll that has been discovered. For the Lord’s fury has been ignited against us, ³  because our ancestors ⁴  have not obeyed the word of the Lord by doing all that this scroll instructs!” ⁵ 

Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, ¹  for ²  the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

Solomon left the meeting tent at the worship center in Gibeon and went to Jerusalem, where he reigned over Israel. ¹ 

He overlaid the temple’s rafters, thresholds, walls and doors with gold; he carved decorative cherubim on the walls.

The combined wingspan of these cherubim was 30 feet. ¹  They stood upright, facing inward. ²
