You must purify each garment and everything that is made of skin, everything made of goat’s hair, and everything made of wood.” ¹ 

The appointed responsibilities of the Merarites included the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, its posts, its sockets, its utensils, plus all the service connected with these things, ¹ 

“Command the Israelites to expel ¹  from the camp every leper, ²  everyone who has a discharge, ³  and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. ⁴ 

Do this, Korah, you and all your company: ¹  Take censers,

Every offering ¹  of all the Israelites’ holy things that they bring to the priest will be his.

they will by no means ¹  see the land that I swore to their fathers, nor will any of them who despised me see it.

All the Israelites ¹  who were around them fled at their cry, ²  for they said, “What if ³  the earth swallows us too?”

And every open container that has no covering fastened on it is unclean.

And whatever the unclean person touches will be unclean, and the person who touches it will be unclean until evening.’”

So he returned to him, and he was still ¹  standing by his burnt offering, he and all the princes of Moab.

“Any vow or sworn obligation that would bring affliction to her, ¹  her husband can confirm or nullify. ² 

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the community went out to meet them outside the camp.

Now therefore kill every boy, ¹  and kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man. ² 

But all the young women ¹  who have not had sexual intercourse with a man ²  will be yours. ³ 

Our children, our wives, our flocks, and all our livestock will be there in the cities of Gilead,

And the people stayed up ¹  all that day, all that night, and all the next day, and gathered the quail. The one who gathered the least gathered ten homers, ²  and they spread them out ³  for themselves all around the camp.

And he will stand before Eleazar the priest, who ¹  will seek counsel ²  for him before the Lord by the decision of the Urim. ³  At his command ⁴  they will go out, and at his command they will come in, he and all the Israelites with him, the whole community.”

Their responsibilities included the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, and the utensils of the sanctuary with which they ministered, ¹  the curtain, and all their service. ² 

Your dead bodies ¹  will fall in this wilderness – all those of you who were numbered, according to your full number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me.

Therefore you and all your company have assembled together against the Lord! And Aaron – what is he that you murmur against him?” ¹
