So Balak did just as Balaam had said. Balak and Balaam then offered on each ¹  altar a bull and a ram.

So Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

Then God met Balaam, who ¹  said to him, “I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram.”

So Balak brought Balaam ¹  to the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, ²  where ³  he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

“‘On the first day of each month ¹  you must offer as a burnt offering to the Lord two young bulls, one ram, and seven unblemished lambs a year old,

“‘But you must offer to the Lord an offering made by fire, a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs one year old; they must all be unblemished. ¹ 

and he must present his offering ¹  to the Lord: one male lamb in its first year without blemish for a burnt offering, one ewe lamb in its first year without blemish for a purification offering, one ram without blemish for a peace offering, ²
