Its porches faced the outer court, and decorative palm trees were on its jambs, and its stairway had eight steps.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came ¹  upon me and said to me, “Say: This is what the Lord says: ‘This is what you are thinking, ²  O house of Israel; I know what goes through your minds. ³ 

There were seven steps going up to it; its porches were in front of them. It had decorative palm trees on its jambs, one on either side.
