eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise. ¹ 

and their forty silver bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame.

So there are to be eight frames and their silver bases, sixteen bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame.

He made a grating for the altar, a network of bronze under its ledge, halfway up from the bottom.

¹ (21:37) ²  “If a man steals an ox or a sheep and kills it or sells it, he must pay back ³  five head of cattle for the ox, and four sheep for the one sheep. ⁴
