You are to work and do all your tasks in six days,

Furthermore, remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and so be careful to observe these statutes.

Whatever you vow, you must be careful to do what you have promised, such as what you have vowed to the Lord your God as a freewill offering.

Do whatever is proper ¹  and good before the Lord so that it may go well with you and that you may enter and occupy the good land that he ²  promised your ancestors,

At that same time the Lord said to me, “Carve out for yourself two stone tablets like the first ones and come up the mountain to me; also make for yourself a wooden ark. ¹ 

You must offer your burnt offerings, both meat and blood, on the altar of the Lord your God; the blood of your other sacrifices ¹  you must pour out on his ²  altar while you eat the meat.

Observe the month Abib ¹  and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in that month ²  he ³  brought you out of Egypt by night.

Then you are to celebrate the Festival of Weeks ¹  before the Lord your God with the voluntary offering ²  that you will bring, in proportion to how he ³  has blessed you.

You must then do as they have determined at that place the Lord chooses. Be careful to do just as you are taught.

If you build a new house, you must construct a guard rail ¹  around your roof to avoid being culpable ²  in the event someone should fall from it.

Today the Lord your God is commanding you to keep these statutes and ordinances, something you must do with all your heart and soul. ¹ 

You must obey him ¹  and keep his commandments and statutes that I am giving you today.”

You will return and obey the Lord, keeping all his commandments I am giving ¹  you today.

The Lord, however, said to me, “Don’t be afraid of him because I have already given him, his whole army, ¹  and his land to you. You will do to him exactly what you did to King Sihon of the Amorites who lived in Heshbon.”
