“‘If in spite of this ¹  you do not obey me but walk in hostility against me, ² 

But if you do not agree to our terms ¹  by being circumcised, then we will take ²  our sister ³  and depart.”

“‘If, however, ¹  you do not obey me and keep ²  all these commandments –

“‘If, in spite of all these things, ¹  you do not obey me, I will discipline you seven times more on account of your sins. ²

But if you don’t obey ¹  the Lord and rebel against what the Lord says, the hand of the Lord will be against both you and your king. ²

and the curse if you pay no attention ¹  to his ²  commandments and turn from the way I am setting before ³  you today to pursue ⁴  other gods you have not known.
