The expert ¹  answered, “Love ²  the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, ³  and love your neighbor as yourself.” ⁴ 

So ¹  the people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus. They ²  found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

So ¹  do not be overly concerned about ²  what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things. ³ 

Remember Lot’s wife! ¹ 

But ¹  she was greatly troubled ²  by his words and began to wonder about the meaning of this greeting. ³ 

He has helped his servant Israel, remembering ¹  his mercy, ² 

Then ¹  he said, “Jesus, remember me ²  when you come in ³  your kingdom.”

He has done this ¹  to show mercy ²  to our ancestors, ³  and to remember his holy covenant ⁴  –

Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? ¹  Yet not one of them is forgotten before God.

No, I tell you! But unless you repent, ¹  you will all perish as well! ² 

No, I tell you! But unless you repent ¹  you will all perish as well!” ² 

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels ¹  over one sinner who repents.”

Therefore be resolved ¹  not to rehearse ²  ahead of time how to make your defense.

And in his anguish ¹  he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.] ² 

He is not here, but has been raised! ¹  Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, ² 

So ¹  he said to them, “You ²  foolish people ³  – how slow of heart ⁴  to believe ⁵  all that the prophets have spoken!

All ¹  who heard these things ²  kept them in their hearts, ³  saying, “What then will this child be?” ⁴  For the Lord’s hand ⁵  was indeed with him.

I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner ¹  who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people ²  who have no need to repent. ³ 

But Abraham said, ‘Child, ¹  remember that in your lifetime you received your good things and Lazarus likewise bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish. ² 

Then ¹  the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, ²  how he had said to him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”
