As he spoke to me, ¹  a wind ²  came into me and stood me on my feet, and I heard the one speaking to me.

Then a wind ¹  came into me and stood me on my feet. The Lord ²  spoke to me and said, “Go shut yourself in your house.

So I spoke to the people in the morning, and my wife died in the evening. In the morning ¹  I acted just as I was commanded.

“‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days by my servants ¹  the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days ²  that I would bring you against them?

Have you not seen a false vision and announced a lying omen when you say, “the Lord declares,” although I myself never spoke?

Then you will know that I, the Lord, have heard all the insults you spoke against the mountains of Israel, saying, “They are desolate, they have been given to us for food.”

The Lord ¹  said to the man dressed in linen, “Go between the wheelwork ²  underneath the cherubim. ³  Fill your hands with burning coals from among the cherubim and scatter them over the city.” He went as I watched.

So I told the exiles everything ¹  the Lord had shown me.

along with their entire bodies, ¹  their backs, their hands, and their wings. The wheels of the four of them were full of eyes all around.

So I prophesied as I was commanded. There was a sound when I prophesied – I heard ¹  a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to bone.

Then there was a voice from above the platform over their heads when they stood still. ¹ 

You exalted yourselves against me with your speech ¹  and hurled many insults against me ²  – I have heard them all!

So I prophesied as I was commanded, and the breath came into them; they lived and stood on their feet, an extremely great army.
