The Israelites followed in the sinful ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat and did not repudiate ¹  them.

In this way he carried out the terms of the law ⁴  recorded on the scroll that Hilkiah the priest had discovered in the Lord’s temple.

He then asked, “Which invasion route are we going to take?” ¹  Jehoram ²  answered, “By the road through the Desert of Edom.”
