“The Lord bless you ¹  and protect ²  you;

The Lord lift up his countenance upon you ¹  and give you peace.”’

The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; ¹ 

“But if you do not do this, then look, you will have sinned ¹  against the Lord. And know that your sin will find you out.

But when you assemble the community, ¹  you must blow, but you must not sound an alarm. ² 

“Bring with you your brothers, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, so that they may join ¹  with you and minister to you while ²  you and your sons with you are before the tent of the testimony.

“Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘When you enter the land where you are to live, ¹  which I am giving you, ² 

He has brought you near and all your brothers, the sons of Levi, with you. Do you now seek ¹  the priesthood also?

Balak said to Balaam, “Did I not send again and again ¹  to you to summon you? Why did you not come to me? Am I not able to honor you?” ² 

You must wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you will be ceremonially clean, and afterward you may enter the camp.’”

You must do so for each one according to the number that you prepare.

Then Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies, but on the contrary ¹  you have only blessed them!” ² 

For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you will fall by the sword. Because you have turned away from the Lord, the Lord will not be with you.”

One law and one custom must apply to you and to the resident foreigner who lives alongside you.’”

But if they do not cross over with you armed, they must receive possessions among you in Canaan.”

Do not go up, for the Lord is not among you, and you will be ¹  defeated before your enemies.

“Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘When you enter the land to which I am bringing you ¹ 

And you will bear no sin concerning it when you offer up the best of it. And you must not profane the holy things of the Israelites, or else you will die.’” ¹ 

Moses said to Korah, “Listen now, you sons of Levi!

If you go to war in your land against an adversary who opposes ¹  you, then you must sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved ²  from your enemies.
