21:9 This is what she wrote: ⁴  “Observe a time of fasting and seat Naboth in front of the people.

22:5 Then Jehoshaphat added, ⁵  “First seek an oracle from the Lord.” ⁶

[18:15]  ³ tn Heb “(before whom I stand).”

[21:9]  ³ tn Heb “she wrote on the scrolls, saying.”

[22:5]  ⁴ tn Heb “and Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel.”

[22:5]  ⁵ tn Heb “the word of the Lord.” Jehoshaphat is requesting a prophetic oracle revealing the Lord’s will in the matter and their prospects for success. For examples of such oracles, see 2 Sam 5:19, 23-24.
