5:11 To him belongs ¹  the power forever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11

4:11 Whoever speaks, let it be with ²  God’s words. ³  Whoever serves, do so with the strength ⁴  that God supplies, so that in everything God will be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong ⁵  the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

[5:11]  ¹ tn No verb is expressed here but the verb “is” or “belongs” is clearly implied. This doxology expresses a fact for which God should be glorified (as in 4:11), rather than a wish or prayer (“may power be to him”).
