2:15 Now let my lord send to his servants the wheat, barley, olive oil, and wine he has promised;

15:6 One nation was crushed by another, and one city by another, for God caused them to be in great turmoil. ¹ 

2 Chronicles 18:4

18:4 Then Jehoshaphat added, ²  “First seek an oracle from the Lord.” ³ 

[15:6]  ¹ tn Heb “threw them into confusion with all distress.”

[18:4]  ¹ tn Heb “and Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel.”

[18:4]  ² tn Heb “the word of the Lord.” Jehoshaphat is requesting a prophetic oracle revealing the Lord’s will in the matter and their prospects for success. For examples of such oracles, see 2 Sam 5:19, 23-24.
