2 Corinthians 4:10

4:10 always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, ¹  so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible ²  in our body.

2 Corinthians 8:6

8:6 Thus ³  we urged ⁴  Titus that, just as he had previously begun this work, ⁵  so also he should complete this act of kindness ⁶  for you.

[4:10]  ¹ tn The first clause of 2 Cor 4:10 is elliptical and apparently refers to the fact that Paul was constantly in danger of dying in the same way Jesus died (by violence at least). According to L&N 23.99 it could be translated, “at all times we live in the constant threat of being killed as Jesus was.”

[8:6]  ³ tn A new sentence was started here in the translation and the word “thus” was supplied to indicate that it expresses the result of the previous clause.

[8:6]  ⁵ tn The words “this work” are not in the Greek text but are implied. Direct objects in Greek were often omitted and must be supplied from the context.
