Acts 5:24

5:24 Now when the commander ¹  of the temple guard ²  and the chief priests heard this report, ³  they were greatly puzzled concerning it, ⁴  wondering what this could ⁵  be.

Acts 5:26

5:26 Then the commander ⁶  of the temple guard ⁷  went with the officers ⁸  and brought the apostles ⁹  without the use of force ¹⁰  (for they were afraid of being stoned by the people). ¹¹ 

Acts 16:4

16:4 As they went through the towns, ¹²  they passed on ¹³  the decrees that had been decided on by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem ¹⁴  for the Gentile believers ¹⁵  to obey. ¹⁶

[5:26]  ⁸ tn The Greek term ὑπηρέτης (Juphreth") generally means “servant,” but in the NT is used for many different types of servants. See the note on the word “officers” in v. 22.
