Deuteronomy 10:22

10:22 When your ancestors went down to Egypt, they numbered only seventy, but now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of the sky. ¹ 

Deuteronomy 21:19

21:19 his father and mother must seize him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his city.

Deuteronomy 22:16

22:16 The young woman’s father must say to the elders, “I gave my daughter to this man and he has rejected ²  her.
