[6:22]  1 tn Heb “the Lord.” See note on the word “his” in v. 17.

[6:22]  2 tn Heb “house,” referring to the entire household.

[11:23]  3 tn Heb “the Lord.” The pronoun has been used in the translation for stylistic reasons to avoid redundancy.

[22:12]  5 tn Heb “twisted threads” (גְּדִלִים, gÿdilim) appears to be synonymous with צִיצִת (tsitsit) which, in Num 15:38, occurs in a passage instructing Israel to remember the covenant. Perhaps that is the purpose of the tassels here as well. Cf. KJV, ASV “fringes”; NAB “twisted cords.”
