defiled <02930> [thou hast.]

detestable idols <08251> [detestable.]

withdraw ........... spare <01639 02550> [will I.]

<05869> [neither shall.]

Ezekiel 6:9

6:9

will .... I ... crushed <07665> [I am.]

eyes <05869> [their eyes.]

exiled ............................ loathe <07617 06962> [they shall.]

They shall humble themselves on account of their abominations, forsake their idolatry, and worship ME alone: and this they have done from the Babylonish captivity to the present day.

Ezekiel 6:11

6:11

Clap <05221> [Smite.]

Ah <0253> [Alas.]

fall <05307> [fall.]

Ezekiel 8:17

8:17

trivial <07043> [Is it a light, etc. or, Is there any thing lighter than to commit, etc. for.]

putting <07971> [they put.]

So the Vulgate has, {applicant ramum ad nares suas,} "they apply the branch to their nose;" which Jerome explains by "a branch of the palm tree with which they adored the idols;" and it seems plainly to allude to the Magian fire-worshippers, who, Strabo tells us, held a little bunch of twigs in their hand, when praying before the fire.

Ezekiel 9:4

9:4

[set a mark. Heb. mark a mark.]

moan <0584> [that sigh.]

Ezekiel 12:16

Ezekiel 16:43

16:43

remember <02142> [thou hast.]

enraged <07264> [but hast.]

repay <05414> [I also.]

Ezekiel 18:24

18:24

righteous <06662> [when.]

practices ........ practices .... carry out ........ acts <06213> [and doeth.]

righteousness .................... righteous <06666> [All his.]

done .... sin <04603 02403> [in his.]

Ezekiel 43:8

43:8

placed <05414> [setting.]

wall ....... profaned <07023 02930> [and the wall between me and them. or, for there was but a wall between me and them.]

Ezekiel 44:7

44:7

bring <0935> [ye have brought.]

foreigners <01121> [strangers. Heb. children of a stranger.]

uncircumcised ... heart <06189 03820> [uncircumcised in heart.]

The introduction of uncircumcised persons to eat of the peace offerings and oblations, would have been a gross violation of the Mosaic law; but, as there was no law to exclude "the uncircumcised of heart," who were circumcised and ritually clean, this seems to point out a new and different constitution.

offer <07126> [when.]

fat <02459> [the fat.]

broken <06565> [broken.]
