Galatians 3:11

3:11 Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith. ¹ 

Galatians 4:24

4:24 These things may be treated as an allegory, ²  for these women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.

[3:11]  ¹ tn Or “The one who is righteous by faith will live” (a quotation from Hab 2:4).

[4:24]  ² tn Grk “which things are spoken about allegorically.” Paul is not saying the OT account is an allegory, but rather that he is constructing an allegory based on the OT account.
