[18:7]  1 tn On the interpretive difficulties of this verse, see the notes at v. 2, where the same terminology is used.

[18:7]  2 tn The words “the tribute” are repeated here in the translation for clarity.

[18:7]  3 tn Heb “to the place of the name of the Lord who commands armies [traditionally, the Lord of hosts], Mount Zion.”

[20:6]  4 tn Heb “in that day” (so KJV).

[20:6]  5 sn This probably refers to the coastal region of Philistia (cf. TEV).

[33:21]  7 tn Heb “But there [as] a mighty one [will be] the Lord for us.”

[33:21]  8 tn Heb “a place of rivers, streams wide of hands [i.e., on both sides].”

[33:21]  9 tn Heb “a ship of rowing will not go into it.”

[33:21]  10 tn Heb “and a mighty ship will not pass through it.”

[37:33]  10 tn Heb “there” (so KJV, NASB, NRSV). In terms of English style “here” is expected in collocation with “this” in the previous line.

[37:33]  11 tn Heb “[with] a shield” (so ASV, NASB, NRSV).

[56:6]  13 tn Heb “who attach themselves to.”

[56:6]  14 tn Heb “and take hold of”; NAB “hold to”; NIV, NRSV “hold fast.”
