[28:10] 1 tn Or “tunnels.” The word is יְאֹרִים (yÿ’orim), the word for “rivers” and in the singular, the Nile River. Here it refers to tunnels or channels through the rocks.
[28:10] 2 tn Heb “his eye sees.”
[28:16] 3 tn The word actually means “weighed,” that is, lifted up on the scale and weighed, in order to purchase.
[28:16] 4 tn The exact identification of these stones is uncertain. Many recent English translations, however, have “onyx” and “sapphires.”
[31:26] 5 tn Heb “light”; but parallel to the moon it is the sun. This section speaks of false worship of the sun and the moon.
