[25:27]  1 tn For the translation “deposited my money with the bankers,” see L&N 57.216.

[25:27]  2 sn That is, “If you really feared me you should have done a minimum to get what I asked for.”

[26:15]  3 tn Grk “What will you give to me, and I will betray him to you?”

[27:3]  5 tn Grk “Then when.” Here τότε (tote) has been translated as “now” to indicate a somewhat parenthetical interlude in the sequence of events.

[27:3]  6 tn Grk “he”; the referent (Jesus) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[27:6]  7 tn Here δέ (de) has not been translated.

[28:15]  9 tc ‡ The word ἡμέρας (Jhmeras, “day”) is found after σήμερον (shmeron, “today, this [day]”) in some early and important witnesses (B D L Θ lat), but may be a clarifying (or perhaps redundant) note. The shorter reading (found in א A W 0148vid Ë1,13 33 Ï) is thus preferred. NA27 includes the word in brackets, indicating reservations about its authenticity.
