  Full many shall come from the east and the west And sit at the feast of salvation, With Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob the blest, Obeying the Lord’s invitation. Have mercy upon us, O Jesus! But they who have always resisted His grace And on their own virtue depended Shall then be condemned and cast out from His face, Eternally lost and unfriended. Have mercy upon us, O Jesus!   In Christ there is no East or West, In Him no South or North; But one great fellowship of love Throughout the whole wide earth. In Him shall true hearts everywhere Their high communion find; His service is the golden cord, Close binding humankind. Join hands, then, members of the faith, Whatever your race may be!
