Psalms 36:1-2
David <01732> [A.M. cir. 3463. B.C. cir. 541. (Title.) A psalm.]
This Psalm is supposed by some to have been composed by David at the beginning of Saul's persecutions; but Calmet and others, on good grounds, are of opinion that it was written during the Babylonian captivity.
servant <05650> [servant.]
rebellious <06588> [The transgression.]
Or, rather, "The speech of transgression to the wicked is within his heart: there is no fear of God before his eyes;" for instead of {libbi,} "my heart," four MSS., have {libbo,} "his heart," which is also the reading of the LXX., Vulgate, Syriac, Arabic, Ethiopic, and Anglo-Saxon.
fear <06343> [no.]
too <02505> [For he.]
sin <05771> [until, etc. Heb. to find his iniquity to hate.]
