  1. Pengikut Kristus, nyanyilah, berdendang dan menari, terhibur oleh kurnia bersatu dalam kasih: Terang Ilahi berseri, yang dari sorga diberi; harganya paling mahal.

• [Heb 10:4] Not All The Blood Of Beasts

  Not all the blood of beasts On Jewish altars slain Could give the guilty conscience peace Or wash away the stain. But Christ, the heav’nly Lamb, Takes all our sins away; A sacrifice of nobler name And richer blood than they. My faith would lay her hand On that dear head of Thine, While, like a penitent, I stand, And there confess my sin. My soul looks back to see The burdens Thou didst bear When hanging on the cursèd tree, And hopes her guilt was there. Believing, we rejoice To see the curse remove; We bless the Lamb with cheerful voice, And sing His bleeding love.

  O Thou whose offering on the tree The legal offerings all foreshowed, Borrowed their whole effect from Thee, And drew their virtue from Thy blood. The blood of goats and bullocks slain, Could never for one sin atone; To purge the guilty offerer’s stain, Thine was the work, and Thine alone. Vain in themselves their duties were, Their services could never please, Till joined with Thine, and made to share The merits of Thy righteousness.   Once, only once, and once for all, His precious life He gave; Before the cross in faith we fall, And own it strong to save. “One off’ring, single and complete,” With lips and hearts we say; But what He never can repeat He shows forth day by day. For as the priest of Aaron’s line Within the holiest stood, And sprinkled all the mercy shrine With sacrificial blood; So He, who once atonement wrought, Our Priest of endless power, Presents Himself for those He bought In that dark noontide hour. His manhood pleads where now it lives On heaven’s eternal throne, And where in mystic rite He gives Its presence to His own.   The true Messiah now appears, The types are all withdrawn; So fly the shadows and the stars Before the rising dawn. Aaron must lay his robes away, His miter and his vest, When God Himself comes down to be The offering and the priest.
