[9:11]  1 tn Heb “sits” (i.e., enthroned, and therefore ruling – see v. 4). Another option is to translate as “lives” or “dwells.”

[9:11]  2 tn Heb “declare among the nations his deeds.”

[22:31]  3 tn Heb “his righteousness.” Here the noun צִדָקָה (tsidaqah) refers to the Lord’s saving deeds whereby he vindicates the oppressed.

[22:31]  4 tn Heb “to a people [to be] born that he has acted.” The words “they will tell” are supplied in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[50:6]  5 tn Or “justice.”

[50:6]  6 tn Or “for God, he is about to judge.” The participle may be taken as substantival (as in the translation above) or as a predicate (indicating imminent future action in this context).

[51:15]  7 tn Heb “open my lips.” The imperfect verbal form is used here to express the psalmist’s wish or request.

[51:15]  8 tn Heb “and my mouth will declare your praise.”

[71:17]  9 tn Heb “and until now I am declaring.”

[75:9]  11 tn Heb “I will declare forever.” The object needs to be supplied; God’s just judgment is in view.

[111:6]  13 tn Heb “the strength of his deeds he proclaimed to his people, to give to them an inheritance of nations.”

[142:2]  15 tn Heb “my trouble before him I declare.”
