  1. Kota Sion, kota Allah, puri agung dan tenar, kau dipilih tempat tinggal oleh Yang Maha Besar. Kau berdiri atas Cadas yang abadi dan teguh, Tiada tertembus musuhmu tembok kes'lamatanmu. • [Psa 48:1] If You Will Only Let God Guide You

  If you will only let God guide you, And hope in Him through all your ways, Whatever comes, He’ll stand beside you, To bear you through the evil days; Who trusts in God’s unchanging love Builds on the Rock that cannot move. Only be still, and wait His leisure In cheerful hope, with heart content To take whatever the Father’s pleasure And all discerning love have sent; Nor doubt our inmost wants are known To Him Who chose us for His own. Sing, pray, and swerve not from His ways, But do your part in conscience true; Trust His rich promises of grace, So shall they be fulfilled in you; God hears the call of those in need, The souls that trust in Him indeed. If thou but suffer God to guide thee And hope in Him through all thy ways, He’ll give thee strength, whate’er betide thee, And bear thee through the evil days. Who trust in God’s unchanging love Builds on the rock that naught can move. What can these anxious cares avail thee These never ceasing moans and sighs? What can it help if thou bewail thee O’er each dark moment as it flies? Our cross and trials do but press The heavier for our bitterness. Be patient and await His leisure In cheerful hope, with heart content To take whatever thy Father’s pleasure And His discerning love hath sent, Nor doubt our inmost want are known To Him who chose us for His own. God knows full well when time of gladness Shall be the needful thing for thee. When He has tried thy soul with sadness And from all guile has found thee free, He comes to thee all unaware And makes thee own His loving care. Nor think amid the fiery trial That God hath cast thee off unheard, That he whose hopes meet no denial Must surely be of God preferred. Time passes and much change doth bring And set a bound to everything. All are alike before the Highest: ’Tis easy for our God, We know, To raise thee up, though low thou liest, To make the rich man poor and low. True wonders still by Him are wrought Who setteth up and brings to naught. Sing, pray, and keep His ways unswerving, Perform thy duties faithfully, And trust His Word: though undeserving, Thou yet shalt find it true for thee. God never yet forsook in need The soul that trusted Him indeed.

  O’er the trackless ocean guided By Thy hand our fathers came; They, O Lord, in Thee confided, Loved Thy day, revered Thy Name; Nor would we, their faith despising, False to their devotion be, But, on wings of pray’r arising, Lift our contrite hearts to Thee. In the new land, wild and lonely, Rude the homes which they upraised; There they sought unto Thee only, There Thy love and mercy praise; In our fairer habitations, May their zeal in us increase, While Thy gracious consolations Prove our everlasting peace. Destined for their fathers’ places, Age on until the end, Keep, O keep, our children’s faces Turned to Thee, our changeless Friend; And may all who boon of Heaven Now or evermore shall crave, Know on earth Thy blessing given, Glory find beyond the grave.

  Within Thy temple’s sacred courts, With loving and adoring thought, We contemplate Thy grace, O God, And all Thy deeds with mercy fraught. Where’er Thy Name, O God, is known, Where’er Thy glorious fame extends, There also is Thy praise proclaimed, Far as the earth’s remotest ends. This mighty God forever lives Our God and Savior to abide, And till our pilgrim days shall end Will ever be our faithful Guide.

Luke 13:34

• [Luk 13:34] Weep Not For Him Who Onward Bears

  Weep not for Him Who onward bears His cross to Calvary; He does not ask man’s pitying tears, Who wills for man to die. The awful sorrow of His face, The bowing of His frame, Come not from torture or disgrace; He fears not cross or shame. There is a deeper pang of grief, An agony unknown, In which His love finds no relief; He bears it all alone. He thinks of all for whom His life Of lowliness and pain, And weariness and care and strife, Will be, alas, in vain. He sees the souls for whom He dies Yet clinging to their sin, And heirs of mansions in the skies Who will not enter in. Ah! this, my Savior, was the shame That bowed Thy head so low; These were the wounds that racked Thy frame, And made Thy tears to flow. O may I in Thy sorrow share, And mourn that sins of mine Should ever wound with grief or care That loving heart of Thine.
