Genesis 15:1-21
-
[Gen 15:1] O God, Thy Soldiers’ Crown And Guard
O God, Thy soldiers’ crown and guard,
And their exceeding great reward;
From all transgressions set us free,
Who sing Thy martyr’s victory.The pleasures of the world he spurned,
From sin’s pernicious lures he turned;
He knew their joys imbued with gall,
And thus he reached Thy heavenly hall.For Thee through many a woe he ran,
In many a fight he played the man;
For Thee his blood he dared to pour,
And thence hath joy forevermore.We therefore pray Thee, full of love,
Regard us from Thy throne above;
On this Thy martyr’s triumph day,
Wash every stain of sin away.O Christ, most loving King, to Thee,
With God the Father, glory be;
Like glory, as is ever meet,
To God the holy Paraclete.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Gen 15:6] Count Me
When you count the ones who love the Lord,
Count me, count me;
When you count up those who trust His Word,
Count me, count me.Refrain
Count me with the children of the heav’nly King;
Count me with the servants who would service bring;
Count me with the ransomed who His praises sing;
Count me, count me.When you count up those who’re saved by grace,
Count me, count me;
Who have found in Christ a hiding place,
Count me, count me.Refrain
When you count up those who do the right,
Count me, count me;
Who are walking in the Gospel light,
Count me, count me.Refrain
When you count up those who forward press,
Count me, count me;
Who shall gain the crown of righteousness,
Count me, count me.Refrain

Genesis 19:11-21

[Gen 19:17] Haste, Traveler, Haste!
Haste, traveler, haste! the night comes on,
And many a shining hour is gone;
The storm is gathering in the west,
And thou art from home and rest.O far from home thy footsteps stray;
Christ is the life, and Christ the way,
And Christ the light; thy setting sun
Sinks ere thy morning is begun.Awake, awake! pursue thy way
With steady course, while yet ’tis day;
While thou art sleeping on the ground,
Danger and darkness gather round.The rising tempest sweeps the sky;
The rains descend, the winds are high;
The waters swell, and death and fear
Beset thy path, nor refuge near.O yes! a shelter you may gain,
A covert from the wind and the rain,
A hiding-place a rest, a home,
A refuge from the wrath to come.Then linger not in all the plain,
Flee for thy life, the mountain gain;
Look not behind, make no delay,
O speed thee, speed thee on thy way!Poor, lost, benighted soul! art thou
Wiling to find salvation now?
There yet is hope; hear mercy’s call:
Truth! Life! Light! Way! in Christ is all!Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 21:13
-
[Psa 21:13] He Sang In The Old Church Choir
’Twas Easter Sunday morning,
To the village I had gone;
My boyhood home where lived the ones I loved;
At the church the preacher spoke the Word,
The choir sang sweetly, too,
And in their midst an old man sang
The old songs good and true;
His voice was sweet and tender,
I seem to hear him yet
Sing again an old refrain I never will forget.Refrain
How he sang in the old church choir
Olden songs, golden songs of a bygone day,
Sweet songs of gladness, songs, too, of sadness
That carried me far, far away,
And I longed in my soul for that heavenly goal
That he sang of so sweetly in those songs:
“Lead Kindly Light amid th’encircling gloom”
And “Rock of Ages cleft for me.”
Those were the songs, the old golden songs
That he sang in the old church choir.So here’s a simple lesson
Of the good that we can do
To help our fellow men along the way;
Just a word of cheer to those we meet
May ease an aching heart,
A song may save two souls that otherwise might drift apart.
Still in my memr’y that lingers
That singer and his song.
Sweet and low, so long ago,
To hear his voice I long.Refrain

[Psa 98:1] Come, Let Us Sing Before The Lord
Come, let us sing before the Lord
New songs of praise with sweet accord,
For wonders great by Him are done,
His mighty arm has victory won.The great salvation of our God
Is seen through all the earth abroad;
Before the nations’ wondering sight
He has revealed His truth and right.He called to mind the truth and grace
Bestowed upon His chosen race,
And unto earth’s remotest bound
Glad tidings of salvation sound.All lands, to God lift up your voice,
Sing praise to Him, with shouts rejoice;
With voice of joy and loud acclaim
Let all unite and praise His Name.Praise ye the Lord with harp and song,
With voice of psalms His praise prolong;
In swelling chorus gladly sing
And shout before the Lord, the King.Let earth be glad, let ocean roar,
And praises sound from shore to shore;
Let floods and hills with glad accord
Show forth their joy before the Lord.For, lo, He comes; at His command
All nations shall in judgment stand;
In justice robed, and throned in light,
The Lord shall judge, dispensing right.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

[Psa 98:1] Sing A New Song To Jehovah
Sing a new song to Jehovah, for the wonders He has wrought,
His right hand and arm most holy triumph to His cause have brought.
In His love and tender mercy He has made salvation known,
In the sight of every nation He His righteousness has shown.Truth and mercy toward His people He has ever kept in mind,
And His full and free salvation He has shown to all mankind.
Sing, O earth, sing to Jehovah, praises to Jehovah sing;
With the swelling notes of music shout before the Lord, the King.Seas and all your fullness, thunder, all earth’s peoples, now rejoice,
Floods and hills, in praise uniting, to the Lord lift up your voice.
For, behold, Jehovah cometh, robed in justice and in might;
He alone will judge the nations, and His judgment shall be right.Play source: Cyberhymnal -

Hallelujah, praise the Lord!Now He bids his great salvation
Through the heathen lands be told;
Tidings spread through every nation,
And His acts of grace unfold.
All the heathen, all the heathen

Shout and sing His praises now in glad accord;
With the harp and trumpet joyful praises bring;

[Psa 98:1] With Glory Clad, With Strength Arrayed
With glory clad, with strength arrayed,
The Lord, that o’er all nature reigns,
The world’s foundations strongly laid,
And the vast fabric still sustains.How surely stablished is Thy throne,
Which shall no change or period see!
For Thou, O Lord, and Thou alone,
Art God from all eternity.The floods, O Lord, lift up their voice,
And toss the troubled waves on high;
But God above can still their noise,
And make the angry sea comply.Thy promise, Lord, is ever sure,
And they that in Thy house would dwell,
That happy station to secure,
Must still in holiness excel.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Psalms 102:13
-
[Psa 102:13] Let Sion And Her Sons Rejoice
Let Sion and her sons rejoice,
Behold the promised hour;
Her God hath heard her mourning voice,
And comes t’exalt His power.Her dust and ruins that remain
Are precious in our eyes;
Those ruins shall be built again,
And all that dust shall rise.The Lord will raise Jerusalem
And stand in glory there;
Nations shall bow before His Name,
And kings attend with fear.He sits a sovereign on His throne,
With pity in His eyes;
He hears the dying prisoners groan,
And sees their sighs arise.He frees the souls condemned to death,
And when His saints complain,
It sha’n’t be said, “That praying breath
Was ever spent in vain.”This shall be known when we are dead,
And left on long record;
That ages yet unborn may read,
And trust, and praise the Lord.Play source: Cyberhymnal
Isaiah 51:9-11
-
[Isa 51:9] Arm Of The Lord, Awake!
Arm of the Lord, awake, awake!
Put on Thy strength, the nations shake,
And let the world, adoring, see
Triumphs of mercy wrought by Thee.Say to the heathen from Thy throne,
“I am Jehovah, God alone”;
Thy voice their idols shall confound,
And cast their altars to the ground.No more let creature blood be spilt,
Vain sacrifice for human guilt!
But to each conscience be applied
The blood that flowed from Jesus’ side.Let Zion’s time of favor come;
O bring the tribes of Israel home;
And let our wondering eyes behold
Gentiles and Jews in Jesus’ fold.Almighty God, Thy grace proclaim
In every clime of every name;
Let adverse powers before Thee fall,
And crown the Savior Lord of all.Play source: Cyberhymnal -
[Isa 51:9] Arm Of The Lord, Awake, Awake!
Arm of the Lord, awake, awake!
Thine own immortal strength put on!
With terror clothed, hell’s kingdom shake,
And cast Thy foes with fury down!As in the ancient days appear!
The sacred annals speak Thy fame:
Be now omnipotently near,
To endless ages still the same.Thy arm, Lord, is not shortened now,
It wants not now the power to save;
Still present with Thy people, Thou
Bear’st them through life’s disparted wave.By death and hell pursued in vain,
To Thee the ransomed seed shall come,
Shouting their heavenly Zion gain,
And pass through death triumphant home.The pain of life shall there be o’er,
The anguish and distracting care,
There sighing grief shall weep no more,
And sin shall never enter there.Where pure, essential joy is found,
The Lord’s redeemed their heads shall raise,
With everlasting gladness crowned,
And filled with love, and lost in praise.Play source: Cyberhymnal

[Isa 52:10] Salvation! O The Joyful Sound!
Salvation! O the joyful sound!
What pleasure to our ears!
A sovereign balm for every wound,
A cordial for our fears.Buried in sorrow and in sin,
And at hell’s dark door we lay;
But we arise by grace divine
To see a heavenly day.Glory, honor, praise, and power,
Be unto the Lamb forever:
Jesus Christ is our Redeemer:
Hallelujah, Praise the Lord.Salvation! let the echo fly
The spacious earth around;
While all the armies of the sky
Conspire to raise the sound!Salvation! O Thou bleeding Lamb,
To Thee the praise belongs;
Salvation shall inspire our hearts,
And dwell upon our tongues.Play source: Cyberhymnal
